Union Teller Coffee Counter

I slept terrible last night. Just terrible. The smoke alarm in our hotel room chirped all night long. I’m sure the rest of the hotel is lovely, but I couldn’t stay there a minute longer. So I’m at the Union Teller Coffee Counter at the Fairlane hotel across the street, hanging out in their lobby and dosing myself with caffeine.

This coffee place is CUTE. One, there are plants everywhere. Two, they serve Stumptown coffee in the cafe. And three, the whole place is like a midcentury modern dream. The coffee shop opens up to the hotel lobby. Orange, tan, and warm wood tones.

And the coffee is GOOD. I got my usual, an almond milk cappuccino and it’s just what I needed. Due to my lack of sleep, I’m sure I’ll be getting more coffee throughout the day and I really wouldn’t mind coming back here. The baristas are friendly and helpful and I generally just like sitting here right now.

So cheers to a good day, paid time off, and chasing the zzzs away with caffeine and well designed interiors! -C
