You know I love coffee. And everywhere you turn in Bend, Oregon, there's another coffee shop. The best part is these aren't just "Starbucks" chain coffee shops. These are unique, and amazing coffee shops where coffee is truly a craft.

When Spoken Moto was recommended to me, I was so excited to try it. It's an industrial warehouse-style building that houses both a cafe and motorcycle shop. Talk about a vibe. This was a natural choice for my Harley-riding brother, but I wasn't sure how I would like it.

Turns out, I loved it. When we arrived, the garage doors were open, leaving the store and cafe open to the air outside. The sealed concrete floor and reclaimed wood cafe counter felt comfortable underneath my dirty sneakers. I wasn't wearing leather and I didn't ride up on a Harley, but it was still a place for me.

As a connoisseur of non-dairy milks, I was excited to see the variety of options Spoken Moto had to offer and decided to try oat milk for the first time in my cappuccino. While the flavor of the espresso was foremost (as it should be) while I am used to tasting the hint of almond with my almond milks, the oat milk was... well.. "oat-y." It reminded me of the basic flavor of oatmeal and it paired really well with the espresso, especially in this cappuccino where the espresso was capital.

We chose to take our coffees outside to the patio to sit in the sun and order brunch from the food trucks. It was a beautiful morning and I do it again in a heartbeat. If I were a Bend local, I could see myself coming there often: reading, working, sipping cappuccinos... but probably not riding a motorcycle! - C
