Living the Deadline Life

When you fill out your time sheet on Friday 6:30 PM, knowing you have to come back on Sunday to continue work before Monday... it‘s exhausting.

Exhausting, but exciting. I always say being busy is good, and I really mean it. These long weeks are a lot of work, but they’re part of what make work worth showing up for- to come in and work on something that matters and that has a true deadline isn’t something everyone gets to do.

My my brain has been on floors 28, 29, and 30 of this building for many hours this week- on and off the clock. You might think living so close to the job site would be too much, and at first maybe it was, but after months of work, I’ve begun to take pride in the work and having a hand in shaping my neighborhood.

Can I call downtown OKC my neighborhood? I think I will. -C
