Home Sweet Home!

Well, a lot has changed again since the last time I popped on here to share my life. So sometime in late April this year (remember back when we thought quarantine would only be a couple months?) we took a walk... As one does while in quarantine.. And somehow we found our dream home. And one month later we moved!

The house itself could be a short story, but I want to skip ahead to my first "project." I say project in quotes because this house really requires no projects. The house is old. We'll actually be celebrating it's centennial in a couple years and which is weird to think about. The was flipped right before we bought it and it was nearly perfect. There was actually one thing about the whole house that I wanted to change... The teal front door.

Is this an unpopular opinion? Teal is for swim suits, not for front doors! So of course the first thing I did was paint the front door. Black. Cue The Rolling Stones. ("I want to paint it black”... Get it!?) I'm so proud of how it turned out, but let me tell you - I am never painting another door again. I'll spare the details, but 6 hours, 2 wasps, and 68924135 flies later... My front door was gloriously Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black in semi-gloss. (Insert heart eyes here.) So behold. Before and after photos for your viewing pleasure!
