Hi. I've never had Halloween decorations before so this may not seem like a lot, but it's more than I've ever had before and I'm obsessed.
The goal is to indicate that on Halloween, trick-or-treaters are welcome and that our house is open for all that great candy-giving business! I don't even know if Halloween is even happening this year, but I'm not taking any chances just in case.
My porch is sparingly decorated with a sweet, but spooky pumpkin trio. I picked up these pumpkins from local parking lot sale with some craft paint and spent an afternoon painting. (The best part about painting when pumpkins is that you mess up, you can wash it off and start again!)
And to bring more light to our path, I found these cute little neon ghosts! I could have gotten more, they are so adorable, but I think these three are just perfect.
Cute and spooky.. Is there any thing better for October?!
Also, let it be known that waited to make this post... And the black paint has basically cooked my pumpkin in the sunshine on my south-facing front porch! I always knew these pumpkins wouldn't last forever, but I'll be lucky if they can make it to Halloween! If I were to do this again next year (and I probably will...) I would wait until the weather gets cooler or until it's closer to Halloween.
My ghosties are doing great though!
